Guarantee

The company is not liable for any damage or issues that arise from incorrect installation or failure to follow instructions for the products supplied. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Damage resulting from lack of maintenance or non-compliance with the company's instructions

  • Damage caused by natural events such as accidents, storms, floods, or misuse

  • Wear and tear on the product

The following guarantees apply to the products supplied, starting from the date of purchase:

  • Aluminium powder coating has a 10-year guarantee

  • UPVC coloured foil has a 10-year guarantee

  • Sealed units, including sealed blind glass units, have a 5-year glass manufacturer's warranty

  • Hardware used on the products have a 1-year warranty

Please note that the guarantees for the aluminium and paint are provided by the aluminium extrusion house, the bifold hardware is guaranteed by the hardware manufacturers, and the glass and integral blinds are guaranteed by the glass company. The company does not provide any guarantee for these components.

It is important to note that all products have a standard weather rating and should not be installed in extremely exposed areas or coastal regions. Claims for poor weather performance will not be accepted if the product is installed in these conditions. Additionally, the guarantee will be voided if the track is not kept clean and in line with the instructions supplied, and if the doors are not properly maintained.

All drawings are viewed from the outside and the company will not be held liable for misinterpretation of the drawings. In cases where a lintel is required and not present at the time of survey, the customer will be responsible for having one installed or may choose to cancel the order, but will be charged a fee of 250 pounds to cover costs.

Bifold doors are only suitable for ground floor installation unless otherwise approved in writing by the company. The customer is responsible for ensuring compliance with all planning and building regulations as well as any necessary structural calculations. A steel or Catnic lintel should be installed above the head of the frame for all bifold doors, although timber lintels can be used at the customer's own risk.

The gap around the frame of folding doors should be between 8-15 mm, and any deviations from these tolerances will void the warranty. Doors should only be installed in brickwork reveals within these tolerances, and installation in any other aperture is at the customer's own risk.

All folding doors supplied are for domestic use only and any defects in relation to sealed units will be handled in accordance with the guidelines of the Glass and Glazing Federation. Toughened low emissivity coated glass units may display colour variations or a misting effect, which is natural and not considered a defect.

Low threshold doors do not offer the same weather performance as standard rebated thresholds and it is the customer's responsibility to account for this in the design and construction of the project.
